To ensure your artwork is ready for high-quality professional printing.

Please review & follow the guidelines below.

G2 ID Source is committed to producing high-quality print materials with precision & efficiency. Following these guidelines helps ensure your final product meets expectations. These requirements apply to both flexographic & digital label printing.

  • **Preferred Software**: Adobe Illustrator (AI), Photoshop (PSD), InDesign (INDD)
  • **Preferred Export**: PDF (PDF 1.7), with all fonts outlined and images embedded
  • **Other Formats**: EPS, TIFF, PSD
  • **Avoid**: Canva, Publisher, Microsoft Word, JPGs or PNGs without source files
  • All artwork must be in **CMYK** (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black)
  • RGB files are not accepted
  • Use **Pantone (PMS) Solid Coated colors** for spot colors
  • Black should be 100% K (not rich black)
  • Raster images must be **minimum 300 DPI**
  • Bitmap images (for line art) should be **1,200 DPI**
  • Low-resolution images will result in pixelation or blur
  • **Minimum font size**:
    • Positive text: 4pt
    • Reverse text: 6pt
  • Use **bold, sans-serif fonts** for small text
  • Outline all fonts before submitting
  • Avoid TrueType fonts
  • Never apply bold/italic styling manually; use the actual font face
  • Positive lines: Minimum **0.5pt**
  • Negative/reversed lines: Minimum **0.75pt**
  • **Bleed**: 0.125" beyond the dieline on all sides
  • **Safe Zone**: Keep all essential content at least 0.0625" inside the dieline
  • Dielines must be on a separate layer and clearly marked in a unique spot color
  • Must be black on a white background
  • Recommended size: **80% to 120%**
  • Maintain "quiet zones" (1/8") around the code
  • Must be one solid color (no gradients or multiple colors)

  • Use for logos, precise color matching, or vibrant graphics
  • Metallics and fluorescents must be defined as spot colors
  • Clearly label all spot colors with PMS numbers
  • Files may be submitted via our portal or email
  • Include:
    • Native artwork files
    • Linked images (in a "links" folder)
    • Font files (if not outlined)
    • A flattened PDF proof
  • Compress files (.zip or .sit) before sending
  • Use vector artwork whenever possible
  • Provide a mockup or sample image if unsure
  • Always review and double-check color, resolution, and dielines
  • Work with a professional designer if you're unsure how to prep files
